Music

Roses / Half Full

Roses—the enigmatic Desi pop artist who collages her identity from fragments of a past she’s still reworking—emerges into the light. Her debut single, “Half Full,” released June 24, sets the tone for her forthcoming debut album of the same name, arriving this Fall.

Having spent the last few years learning to live on her own terms, Half Full marks the beginning of a larger story--an album that glows with lived experience but refuses to linger in the dark. This is music that moves, heals and reclaims joy. Half Full is not just a debut album--it's an opening chapter.

Cinema

Who I Am Not

A feature documentary following the lives of intersex South Africans Sharon-Rose Khumalo and Dimakatso, as they navigate identity in a binary world. Acclaimed on the festival circuit and currently airing on PBS’ POV.

The poignant documentary follows four deaf “singers” from El Sistema’s El Coro de Manos Blancas in Venezuela. Celebrating the universality of music and the human desire to be heard, the film is now in international festival promotion.

MOFAYA

Currently in mid-production, this feature documentary traces the epic journey of Congolese musician Mermans “Mofaya” Mosengo, who smuggled himself across the Africa with nothing but a dream - and music as his spiritual passport.
