After his father and brother were killed by corrupt armed forces in the Congo, Mermans 'Mofaya' Mosengo, had no choice but to escape. This is a real life epic adventure about how Mofaya smuggled himself across Africa in planes, trains and automobiles in search of a better life. Mofaya's music became his spiritual passport that has inspired millions of people around the world.

Inspiration.

The goal is to build the Mofaya Music School in the Congo, which has already begun preparations.

Mofaya's journey is one of perseverance, hope and determination. Despite the challenges faced in the filmmaking, Jesse felt his responsibility to embody these characteristics and carry this story and the mission to the finish line.
