Richard Fairgray
Writer of Comics | Breathe
Richard Fairgray is an award winning writer of comics, picture books and prose with nearly 300 titles to his name.
He began his career in comics at the age of 7 when he blackmailed a librarian to get free photocopying for his book GHOST GHOST which went on to sell tens of thousands of copies in his home country of New Zealand. After spending his twenties being the highest selling comic creator on that group of small islands, he moved to America to avoid boredom and find a bigger market.
Since 2016 he has been steadily working on three all-ages graphic novel series (BLASTOSAURUS, BLACK SAND BEACH and CARDBOARDIA) for various publishers while also creating a line of mature books under his Richard Sux imprint. He now splits his time between Los Angeles and a small town in Canada that keeps insisting it's a city.
