“There is a global environmental crisis and healthy soils are a powerful part of the solution.”

GROUND UP FABLES

Animated Shorts 2024

A loveable tardigrade named Teddy, the only survivor after total environmental catastrophe, shares three cautionary tales of the previous civilization’s failures:

-“Jill and the Beanstalk” - a Latina organic farmer gets duped by a modified seed salesman from Giant Ag Corp. and fights back.

-“True Crime: Bovine” - a cheeky take on Law & Order where our two detectives - a farmhouse dog and barn cat - investigate a recent field fire and interrogate the usual suspects.

-“Wading in Juneau” - in 2075 two friends sit on the beach and talk about the absurdity of life. However, they are relaxing on the sands of Juneau, Alaska - now a safe tropical locale.

Inspiration.

Ground Up Fables” endeavors to build awareness around the exponential depletion of our farmable soils. Scientists speculate that due to nutrient and biomass reduction, the world has only 40 harvests remaining. This is a global crisis which needs our attention. The message of this film in both its story arc and its marketing will serve to energize the audience to make choices supporting the regeneration of healthy soils and to act in our Mother Earth’s best interest.
