Julianne Wick Davis (composer, lyricist, bookwriter) is a recipient of the Larson Award and the Ziegfeld Award. Her musical TREVOR (music) was produced by Writer’s Theatre and Off-Broadway, and is now available on Disney+. She composed the music for SOUTHERN COMFORT (The Public Theater, NY Times Critic’s Pick), and THE PEN (Inner Voices 2016, NY Times Critic’s Pick). She wrote book, music, and lyrics for THE WILLARD SUITCASES (American Shakespeare Center, Washington Post Best Theatre List) and contributed music & lyrics to WHEN WE MET (O’Neill, CAP21). Other works include LAUTREC AT THE ST. JAMES (music; NAMT 2019, Olney Theatre Applause Concert Series 2022), HAROLD & LILLIAN (music; with Collins, book & music, South Coast Repertory’s Pacific Playwrights Festival), WILD CHILD (Toronto Sheridan Musical Theater Workshop), and songs “Wear You” and “Down a Thailand Drain” for Shakina’s MANIFEST PUSSY.
She is a Dramatist Guild Fellow and a Sundance Fellow at UCross. Julianne holds an MFA from NYU’s Tisch Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program and currently serves as Program Director for BerkleeNYC’s Writing and Production for Musical Theatre.
